
Eggless Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
- For the dough:
- 1 cup warm milk(120g)
- 3/4 tsp yeast (4g)
- 2 tbsp sugar(23g)
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour(270g)
- 1/2 tsp salt (2g)
- 1/4 cup melted butter(120g)
- 33 g butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar(100g)
- 2 tsp cinnamon powder(3.5g)

In a bowl, mix milk, sugar and yeast and stir and cover it. Let it rest for 10’mins till the mixture starts bubbling

Add this to the stand mixer. Add flour, and salt . Attach the dough attachment and start the mixer on slow speed.

Once it comes together , increase the speed and let it knead the dough for 4-5 mins. Keep scraping sides with a spatula.

Add butter and mix for 3 more mins.

Once the dough is nice and stretchy, take it out in a greased bowl and cover with a tea towel and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

After an 1 hour, punch the dough down and spread flour on a surface and start rolling the dough.

Give it a square shape.

Make the cinnamon filling by mixing the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon powder using the whip attachment of the stand mixer.

Spread this mixture evenly over the rolled out dough.

Start folding the dough from one end the other making a log.

Cut into equal size rolls using a thread or a dental flosser. Arrange the rolls into a greased tin .

Cover with a tea towel for 30mins for the second rise.

After 30mins, brush the rolls with some milk and bake in a preheated oven at 180C for25-30mins.

Smother the rolls with a cream cheese frosting.

Enjoy them warm with a cup of coffee. ☕️
