Ingredients
- 3/4 cup jaggery
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tsp coffee
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter/oil
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Instructions

Preheat the oven at 180C.

In a bowl, mix jaggery , hot water, cocoa powder and coffee and mix. Set it aside for 10 mins with lid on .

Sift together wheat flour, baking powder , baking soda and salt and mix well.

Add butter, vanilla to jaggery mixture and combine. Add the flour mixture and mix till combined .

Add warm milk and vinegar and mix gently to form a smooth batter. Do not overmix.

Pour batter into a greased and lined tin and add nuts on top. Bake the cake at 180C for 30-35 mins .
